Tôi nghe như vầy:
Một thời đức Phật trú tại vườn Cấp Cô Độc, rừng cây Kỳ-đà, nước Xá-vệ. Bấy giờ, Thế Tôn bảo các Tỳ-kheo:
“Có một con người mà xuất hiện ở thế gian, liền có ánh sáng trí tuệ xuất hiện ở thế gian. Một con người ấy là ai? Đó là đức Như Lai, A-la-hán, Chánh đẳng giác. Đó gọi là một người xuất hiện ở thế gian, liền có ánh sáng trí tuệ xuất hiện ở thế gian.
“Cho nên các Tỳ-kheo, hãy có tín tâm hướng đến Phật, chớ có nghiêng tà. Vì vậy, này các Tỳ-kheo, hãy học điều này.”
Các Tỳ-kheo sau khi nghe những gì Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành.
聞如是：
一時，佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨 T 0561b02園。
爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「若有一人出現於 T 0561b03世，便有智慧光明出現於世。云何為一人？ T 0561b04所謂多薩阿竭、阿羅呵、三耶三佛。是謂一人 T 0561b05出現於世，便有智慧光明出現於世。是故， T 0561b06諸比丘！當信心向佛，無有傾邪。如是，諸比 T 0561b07丘！當作是學。」
爾時，諸比丘聞佛所說，歡喜 T 0561b08奉行。
T 0561b09 SC 1Thus I have heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at Anāthapiṇḍada’s Park in Jeta’s Grove of Śrāvastī.
SC 2It was then that the Bhagavān addressed the monks, “When one person appears in the world, then the light of wisdom appears in the world. Who is that one person? He is called the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the Correctly and Perfectly Awakened One. He is known as the one person who appears in the world, and then the light of wisdom appears in the world.
SC 3“Therefore, monks, you should have faith in the Buddha and not deviate from it. Thus, monks, you should train yourselves.”
SC 4When the monks heard what the Buddha taught, they rejoiced and approved.
