Tôi nghe như vầy:
Một thời đức Phật trú tại vườn Cấp Cô Độc, rừng cây Kỳ-đà, nước Xá-vệ. Bấy giờ, Thế Tôn bảo các Tỳ-kheo:
“Có một con người mà xuất hiện ở thế gian, liền có ba mươi bảy phẩm xuất hiện ở thế gian. Những gì là ba mươi bảy phẩm đạo? Đó là bốn niệm xứ, bốn chánh đoạn, bốn thần túc, năm căn, năm lực, bảy giác chi, tám Thánh đạo, liền xuất hiện ở thế gian.
Một con người ấy là ai? Đó là đức Như Lai, A-la-hán, Chánh đẳng giác.
“Cho nên các Tỳ-kheo, thường nên thừa sự Phật. Vì vậy, này các Tỳ-kheo, hãy học điều này.”
Các Tỳ-kheo sau khi nghe những gì Phật dạy, hoan hỷ phụng hành.
聞如是：
一時，佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨 T 0561b19園。
爾時，世尊告諸比丘：「若有一人出現於 T 0561b20世，便有三十七品出現於世。云何三十七 T 0561b21品道？所謂四意止、四意斷、四神足、五根、五 T 0561b22力、七覺意、八真行，便出現於世。云何為一 T 0561b23人？所謂多薩阿竭、阿羅呵、三耶三佛。是故，諸 T 0561b24比丘！常當承事於佛，亦當作是學。」
爾時，諸 T 0561b25比丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。
T 0561b26 SC 1Thus I have heard: One time, the Buddha was staying at Anāthapiṇḍada’s Park in Jeta’s Grove of Śrāvastī.
SC 2It was then that the Bhagavān addressed the monks: “When one person appears in the world, the thirty-seven factors of the path appear in the world. What are the thirty-seven factors of the path? It’s the four abodes of mindfulness, four mental abandonments, four spiritual abilities, five faculties, five powers, seven factors of awakening,and eight true practices that then appear in the world. Who is that one person? He is called the Tathāgata, the Arhat, and the Correctly and Perfectly Awakened One.
SC 3“Therefore, monks, always obey the Buddha. Thus, monks, you should train yourselves.”
SC 4When the monks heard what the Buddha taught, they rejoiced and approved.
