Vua lại hỏi Na-tiên: "Hạnh tu của Đức Phật có giống với Phạm Thiên, vua cõi trời thứ bảy, là không giao tiếp với nữ giới (phạm hạnh) không?"

"Nhưng Phạm Thiên, vua cõi trời thứ bảy, có tư duy (buddhi) không?"
"Có, Phạm Thiên, vua cõi trời thứ bảy, có tư duy."
"Vậy thì Phạm Thiên, vua cõi trời thứ bảy, và các cõi trời cao hơn đều phải là đệ tử của Đức Phật."
Na-tiên hỏi vua: "Tiếng kêu của chim như thế nào?"
"Tiếng kêu của chim giống tiếng kêu của ngỗng trời."
Bấy giờ Na-tiên nói: "Nếu vậy, chim là đệ tử của ngỗng trời. Nhưng thực ra, chúng là hai loài khác nhau. Cũng vậy, Đức Phật không phải là đệ tử của Phạm Thiên vua cõi trời thứ bảy."
"Hay thay, Na-tiên!"
王復問那先。佛審如 T 0716b06第七天王梵所行。不與婦女交會不。那先言 T 0716b07然。審離於婦女。淨潔無瑕穢。王言假令佛如 T 0716b08第七天王所行者。佛為第七天王梵弟子。那 T 0716b09先問王。第七天王者有念無念。王言第七天 T 0716b10王梵有念。那先言是故第七天王梵及上諸 T 0716b11天皆為佛弟子。那先問王言。鳥鳴聲何等類。 T 0716b12王言鳥鳴聲如鴈聲。那先言如是鳥為是鴈。 T 0716b13弟子各自異類。佛亦如是。非第七天王梵弟 T 0716b14子。王言善哉。
The king asked Nāgasena again, “Is the Buddha’s conduct similar to the Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven, having no intercourse with women (brahmacariya)?”
Nāgasena replied, “Yes, the Buddha keeps away from women, so he is pure without any defilement.”
“If the Buddha’s conduct is the same as that of the conduct of the Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven, then the Buddha is a follower of Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven.”
“But does Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven, have thoughts [buddhi]?”
“Yes Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven, has thoughts.”
“Then Brahman, the king of the seventh heaven, and the higher heavens all should be the followers of the Buddha.”
Nāgasena asked the king, “What is the cry of a bird like?”
“A bird’s cry is like the cry of a wild goose.”
Then Nāgasena said, “If so, birds are the disciples of wild geese. But in fact, they are of two different kinds. It is the same with regard to the Buddha, he is not the disciple of Brahman king of the seventh heaven.”
“Excellent, Nāgasena.”
Vua lại hỏi Na-tiên: "Hạnh tu của Đức Phật có giống với Phạm Thiên, vua cõi trời thứ bảy, là không giao tiếp với nữ giới (phạm hạnh) không?"
